Both sides are battling near the foot of the table, with Dons 20th and Dale just two places and four points further up League One.

First team coach Lee Riley said: “We don’t look at the game in regard to the league table. We’ll just prepare for it as we would do any other game and as we always do.

“The preparation for the game will be mainly recovery for the players and starting to look at MK Dons and how they play, and how we play against them.

“We want to try and stick to our constants as a team, work on them and prepare properly for the game.”

Rochdale head to Stadium MK after a 2-2 draw against Gillingham on Saturday, but will be without Callum Camps and Robert Sánchez.
