The MK Dons players united for the first time since March as they returned to pre-season training today (Monday).

After Friday's announcement that the League One season would get under way on September 12, Dons were back at Woughton on the Green in small groups in preparation as per the EFL protocols for Stage One of Return to Training. While Covid-19 testing isn’t required at this stage, social distancing measures and other guidelines have been implemented.

“We have a number of strict protocols in place,” Head of Sports Science and Medicine Simon Crampton told iFollow MK Dons.

“Pre-season always tends to be a challenging period but none more so than this season. We have a fantastic group of staff here and everyone is doing their part in ensuring that we can operate safely and efficiently.”

Dons' areas at Woughton on the Green are operating in a Covid-19 controlled safe-zone environment and entry is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Supporters, therefore, are urged to refrain from visiting the training ground during this time, to ensure that the squad can train in a bio-secure environment.
