After relinquishing their undefeated start to the campaign last week, Darren Lynch's side bounced back in style, with first half goals from Josh Winters, Tom Liversedge and Fazal Koriya putting the result beyond doubt.

Newport's victory leaves them four points adrift of Nirvana at the top of UCL Premier Division, with a game in hand which they play tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they take on Daventry Town at Willen Road.

Olney Town slipped to fifth in UCL Division 1 after losing 2-1 to 10-man Huntingdon Town. Keith Williams scored Olney's only goal of the game but it wasn't enough as goals from Keishon Wilson and Chae Simons gave the home side victory, despite Connor Clarke's sending off.

A Oluwanimilo Ajigbolamu brace saw Newport Pagnell Town Reserves move within a point of Reserve Division leaders Northampton ON Chenecks, after they beat Wellingborough Whitworths 3-1.

Ajigbolamu got goals in either half, sandwiching a Sam O'Neil strike to ensure David Ashcroft's side kept in touch with the leaders, who have a game in hand over the Swans.
