Record signing Kieran Agard is Dons’ top-scorer this season, but has come alive of late and it appeared to be courtesy of an almost-fit again Chuks Aneke.
Aneke, who missed the first four months of the season through injury, has turned provider for Agard for three of his last six goals.

“Kieran has been doing really well, scoring key goals for us at good times. Having Chuks up alongside him as part of a two helped him. It’s a partnership that’s building.
“But we’ve still got to manage Chuks after his injury.
“He was out of for year, and yes he’s played 10 games or so, but we’re trying not to push him too hard.”
Agard, now with 12 goals since signing in August, said he is delighted to be out on the pitch with Aneke.

“We all knew what he was capable of, it was just a matter of getting him on the pitch and we’re all really happy it is coming good for him.
“We’ve always said going forwards we have a good understanding - all of the attackers do. We’re flourishing at the moment.
“All the hard work is starting to pay off, and long may it continue.”

“Nicky (Maynard) and Kieran make good runs, and they’re both good finishers.
“So if you put me in behind them, there will be chances, I’ve always said that.”
