There is positive news coming out of the MK Dons treatment room with two more players back in training.

David Kasumu has not played since Christmas, while Louis Thompson limped out of action against Sunderland three weeks ago, but both have since returned to full training this week.

There was more good news after Scott Fraser missed out against Shrewsbury with a slight knock, but he is back in contention to start against Oxford United on Saturday, while Jordan Houghton's impressive 32-minute cameo at Montgomery Waters Meadow after three months out after ankle surgery also drew praise from his manager.

Speaking on Friday, Russell Martin said: "Louis Thompson is back today, which is brilliant, so it's all positive on the injury front. David Kasumu is back training properly too, so it's all really positive.

"Scotty is training today, so he will be in contention tomorrow. He brings us something different to most players in this league. It'll be nice to have him back.

"Jordan was fantastic. He's been a big player for us over the period of time. He found himself out of the team because of David Kasumu's incredible form – for me he was the best midfielder in the league at what he does. We were blown away by him in training so for him to get injured was a big blow, and at that time we didn't have Jordan either.

"Jordan has been huge on and off the pitch for us, so to have him back is really pleasing. For him to come back after such a long period and to look so sharp and ready and fit is testament to his professionalism."
