After a brilliant first-half performance, which not only brought about Mo Eisa’s second goal of the season but also some excellent football, the second-half was a stark contrast with Tranmere on the front-foot and Dons playing some stern defensive football to ensure three points.
With some excellent and industrious performances all over the pitch, here’s how we rated the players.
5. Daniel Harvie - 8
A livewire at both ends of the pitch. Won plenty of headers when he joined the attacks, and provided a significant threat up the left too. Defensively very strong again as well. Photo: Jane Russell
6. Cameron Norman - 7.5
Found himself in acres of space for the vast majority of the game, and was picked out with several excellent diagonals in his direction. Another good performance Photo: Jane Russell
7. MJ Williams - 7.5
Always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. In a difficult second-half, raised the crowd with a crunching tackle not often seen in a Dons midfield for many moons Photo: Jane Russell
8. Alex Gilbey - 8
A captain's performance. Threw himself into every challenge, helped lift the crowd in the second-half and still had the energy to run nearly 50 yards with the ball late in the day. Photo: Jane Russell
