Goals from Tom Bayliss and Jordan Shipley ensured the Shrews were 2-0 up at the break at Montgomery Waters Meadow. Zak Jules pulled one back for Dons nine minutes into the second-half, but Dawson Devoy’s red card on 59 minutes put paid to Dons’ attempts at securing an unlikely equaliser.
Both Liam Manning and Warren O’Hora felt Dons performed better down to 10-men as they dropped back into the bottom three in League One.
While there were few individually poor performances, the collective of the team was disappointingly low once again.
Here’s how we rated the players.

5. Dan Oyegoke - 5.5
Had a much better second-half when he was shifted inside to centre-back. Threw himself in front of Shipley's shot, but the deflection took it past Cumming Photo: Jane Russell

6. Daniel Harvie - 5
Was pushed forwards in the first-half and it meant the defence was exposed more than usual. Got the ball high up the pitch but the final ball was lacking Photo: Jane Russell

7. Josh McEachran - 5
Struggled to keep tabs on Shrewsbury's midfield runners as Dons got overrun in the first-half Photo: Jane Russell

8. Dawson Devoy - 4
Looked as though he was growing into the game in the second-half but his red card cost Dons the chance to get back into it Photo: Jane Russell
