Tranmere cut the gap between Dons and the drop zone

Tranmere Rovers picked up their sixth win of the season on Tuesday evening, cutting the gap between MK Dons and the relegation zone back to 10 points.

Corey Blackett-Taylor's 95th minute winner for Rovers saw them beat Shrewsbury 3-2, having led 2-0 at half time. While nor AFC Wimbledon or Rochdale played on Tuesday, it means Tranmere are five points from safety, while Dons' 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth at Fratton Park meant they could not gain any ground of Shrewsbury and remain 18th.

Typically, when first met second, it ended all square as Rotherham and Coventry City played out a 1-1 draw at St Andrews. Rotherham maintain their advantage at the top on goal diffrerence, and will host Dons on Saturday.

Sunderland remain fourth after drawing 1-1 with fellow play-off contenders Fleetwood Town.

Despite rumours surrounding the future of manager Karl Robinson, Oxford United saw off Accrington Stanley 3-0 at the Kassam Stadium, while Blackpool, who put in an official approach for Robinson's services, were 2-1 winners over bottom club Bolton Wanderers.
