Trio of students pull on England College shirts

Three footballers from MK College represented their country last week, playing for the English Colleges Football Association.

Elliot Simmons and Alfie Leadbeater were led out by skipper Tom Bradbury as they took on Independent Schools FA.

The ECFA side lost 5-1 at the match in Surrey, but it was the first time the new-look side had played together.

Mark Walsh, Head of Football at MK College, was proud of all three players.

He said: “Everyone connected with the College’s football programme was delighted to see Tom, Elliot and Alfie given their chance to represent England.

“Although the result may have gone against them this time, I know that all three lads gave 100 per cent and they can be proud of their effort and commitment.

“They have been a credit to the College with their performances and I’m sure that will continue in their future appearances for the English side.”
