Most of MK Dons' season ticket holders have opted not to claim a refund on the remaining four games they did not see during the 2019/20 campaign.

With the season curtailed early, nearly 5,000 season ticket holders were eligible for a refund on the home games they did not get to see during March, April and May.

The club offered the fans the opportunity to reclaim the money for the games, to leave the money with the club to invest in the academy, a free shirt for next season or tickets for a game next year or the new black away strip instead. Executive Director Andrew Cullen said only a third of fans claimed back the money.

He said: "In terms of generosity and their right to claim a refund, over two-thirds of the fans have opted to leave the money with the club and not claim the refund, taking up the other options instead. The black shirt has been hugely popular! We've been bowled over by people supporting the club, and that money can make a significant difference to us next year."

And with no other cash coming into the club during this period, Mr Cullen said nearly 4,000 fans have picked up season tickets for a campaign which, as yet, has no start date.

"We have had a huge number of fans renew their season ticket already," he continued. "We're just under 4,000 and we don't even know when the new season will start yet. We hope it will start in September."
