Ste Walker felt he should have done better with two chances he had after he had scored his second MK Dons goal in the 3-1 defeat to Hull City on Saturday.

Walker struck after 10 minutes to draw Dons level, having fallen behind to Josh Magennis' early goal. But Magennis made it 2-1 barely a minute later, before James Scott's goal 15 minutes from time sent the Tigers top, ending Dons' four game unbeaten run in the division.

The home side weren't without chances though, and twice Walker was through on goal but saw one effort saved and another blocked after he took too much time on the ball and allowed the defence to recover.

"I should have taken my chances better, we should have defended better," Walker said afterwards. "At half time, I felt we were the better side. We conceded goals we know we should have done better with. We reacted well, which we usually do and I felt they were there for the taking. But it's a frustrating one, all of us are frustrated because I felt we should have got something for the game.

"We're not going to change the way we are, and we know when we're on top of our game we can compete with anyone. You saw that last week at Sunderland.

"We've dominated one of the best teams in the league and definitely should have got something from the game. We take confidence from it, we'll look at the problems but go again on Monday and bounce back on Tuesday."

On his goal, Walker added: "I didn't even see where the goal was because my back was to goal so I've hit it on the swivel. Russ has been telling me to get in the box more from that number 10 position, get higher. So as the ball's bounced, I tried to be the first one there to react and it fell for me."
