"We know we're under pressure" says Dons boss Robinson

Karl Robinson has 'total confidence' in what he's doing at MK Dons, despite watching his side blow a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

Having not won in 12 games on home soil, Dons find themselves 16th in League 1 after Matty Taylor scored twice in the last five minutes to complete his hat-trick, denying Dons that illusive first win since March 5.

With questions continuing to swirl around Robinson and his future in charge of Dons, he admitted he's under pressure but said his future would ultimately be decided by chairman Pete Winkelman.

"We make no illusions that we're under pressure," he said. "I'm always under pressure, but it's one you'll have to ask the chairman. If I say no, it's rude and disrespectful, if I say yes, it starts the rumour mill. But I have total confidence in what we're doing.

"When we are where we are in the league at the moment, it's disappointing for everyone to take. We're disappointed and down, but we couldn't have played much better.

"I'm sick. I'm almost speechless."

Dons led 2-0 at half time, but in truth it could have been four or five. Dean Bowditch fired Dons into the lead after 16 minutes before George B Williams doubled the lead on 24 minutes.

Taylor pulled one back two minutes into the second half before Ben Reeves' 65th minute strike make it 3-1.

Looking to have that home win in the back, Taylor struck on 86 and 88 to complete his hat-trick and a rescue a point for Rovers.

Afterwards, Robinson would point the finger at referee Darren Handley for fouls in the build-up to both of Taylor's late strikes, but also signalled a lack of discipline in his side for failing to see the match out.

He said: "We lost control along with the referee. He hasn't been right with the rules at the end of the game. As much as I can have a go at the referee, we slashed at things and didn't put our foot through it.

"I need to know why, when he gave free kicks all game for fouls less than that, we got nothing. They are key incidents. He said if Dean Bowditch made one more foul, he was going to get sent off. I saw Chris Lines run 25 yards, foul Ben Reeves and tread on his hand but not get booked.

"Maybe we need to scream a bit more. Maybe we need to cheat the system. Go down, scream. Maybe we need to do that, because honesty doesn't get the right rewards. The second one is a foul on Paul Downing, the third is a foul on Jack Hendry."
