Making their way to the game in extraordinary security measures, the away fans were given a lifeless performance from their side and defeat in the first game between the two sides in Kingston.

“It’s obviously very disappointing,” said Agard afterwards. “It meant so much to us, and we knew how much it means to the fans. We’re gutted, we’re all down.

“We have to put it right now on Saturday, and we’ll do all we can. We have to put it right.

“In the first half, we had more of the ball and were the far better team. But in the second half, they got the goal and we couldn’t get back in it.

“We have to draw a line under it and move forward.”
