A summer soccer spectacular takes place in Canada this summer - and football fans from Milton Keynes were given a sneak preview.
The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup will run from June-July, and the trophy came to stadium:mk before England played the USA in a friendly game on Friday night.
England have qualified for the tournament, and supporters got to have their photograph taken with the trophy.
There was also a chance to meet the likes of England defender Sophie Bradley plus goalkeeper Rachel Brown-Finnis who played in England’s trip to the quarter-finals of both the 2007 and 2011 tournaments.
Rachel said: “Being part of a World Cup was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life.
“Having the trophy at the stadium will provide a little bit of inspiration to the England players, and the USA, as they’ll both be aiming to lift it in the summer.
“It’s great that FIFA and the FA are showcasing the trophy and tournament with this tour and hopefully it will encourage people to watch what is set to be a fantastic World Cup.”
England kick-off their World Cup campaign against France on 9 June.
