Fortune favours brave Katie

It takes a lot of bravery to conquer the open waters, but Katie Lambert certainly showed a lot of courage at the Brighton & Hove Triathlon at the weekend.

As the only girl in the 13-14 age group to even attempt the swim, Katie won by default, but came first all the same!

A little further afield, Harry Hammond impressed on his first triathlon in Australia, as he beat three Team GB triathletes on the Gold Coast at the ITU World Triathlon Championships.

Harry, a lifeguard at Wolverton Pool, finished 45th in the 20-24 age range.

He completed the race in 1 hour, nine minutes and three seconds, which included a PB in the 750m swim of 10:23.
