Dons captain helps Wavendon launch new footgolf course

The fastest growing sport is coming to Wavendon Golf Academy.

Footgolf combines football and golf and is sweeping the nation.

Beginning on June 27, the sport comes to Wavendon Golf Academy, who have employed the services of MK Dons skipper Dean Lewington to help them launch the course.

Greg Iron, general manager at Wavendon Golf Academy, said: “We are extremely excited about the prospect of offering Footgolf at Wavendon Golf Academy. This is something we view as new and upcoming as well as fun for all ages, enhancing the extensive facilities we already have on offer.”

Gareth May, Head of UK Development for the sport’s national governing body, added: “It is fantastic to see Wavendon Golf Academy embrace the sport of FootGolf, and develop a dedicated 9 hole course on their complex.”
