Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club has launched a programme of exciting events and fundraising competitions for the club’s centenary year.
The events kick off with the formal opening of a beautiful new dry stone wall bridge and water feature on the 16th hole in May by club captain, Fred Mercer.
This will be followed by a Centenary Ball at Horwood House, Little Horwood, in June.
A two week-long golf festival will start proceedings on June 22, with a variety of competitions for all elements of the Club, culminating in the Captain’s Centenary Charity Day on July 5.
With Buckingham Golf Club also celebrating its Centenary this year, the clubs will join together for two Ryder Cup formula competitions both home and away.
Mr Mercer said: “We’ve had a fantastic start to the year already and unprecedented interest in membership, so I look forward to sharing this momentous year with old and new friends alike.”
