Grove School gymnasts come fifth in their first competition

Young gymnasts from Grove School certain did themselves proud at the National Schools Gymnastics competition on Sunday.

The school sent 16 competitors to the competition despite only training together for eight weeks.

Accomplished gymnast Zadie Berkin-Evans, pictured, stood out by finishing 10th out of 40, while Charlie Taylor wasn’t far behind in 14th.

Overall, Grove finished fifth overall, delighting their coach Annie Turney.

She said: “They all looked amazing and really enjoyed themselves.

“To be placed fifth at their first competition is a huge achievement.”
