MK Knights lost out by a single point on Saturday in the first round of the KO Cup at Rye Raiders, ending their run in the competition.

Having lost the first leg, Knights needed to reverse the 21-15 deficit to progress into the second round.

Despite some determined riding from a re-shaped team, skipper Jez Pestell and Sam Chapman unavailable for this meeting, Knights lost by just one point, going down 18-17 on the night, and 39-32 overall, eliminating them from the Cup.

This week sees the team take on Long Eaton on
Saturday, both away meetings before the next home
meeting on Sunday June 29 at Mildenhall against Belle Vue.

Knights currently remain eight points clear at the top of the Midland Development League table.
