MMKAC runners help Bucks to fifth in Cross-Country Champs

Three juniors from Marshall Milton Keynes Athletics Club helped Buckinghamshire to a remarkable fifth at the English Schools Cross-Country Championships.

Held in the grounds of Wollaton Hall, Nottingham this is a very competitive championship with athletes representing their relevant Country Schools team.

Best placed for Bucks were the junior boys who finished an excellent 5th place. From their scoring team MMKAC provided three – James Dowsett(42nd), Finlay Gibbs(85th) & Robert Hickman(95th).

The boys senior team closed in 15th and included Conrad Webber finishing 70th. Alfie Yabsley(61st) led home the Bucks team(29th) in the intermediate race with Ewan Forsyth 115th.

For the junior girls who came home 16th overall, Barbara De Koning placed 76th, Montana Edghill 102nd and Gemma Milne, 225th.

Finally Emma Mears and Enya Deysel were 103rd and 138th respectively for the Bucks intermediate team that finished 30th.
