Andrew Jarman is heading for the land of the rising sun for a guest appearance Fuji Speedway at the Aston Martin Challenge.

The 2013 Aston Martin GT4 Challenge champion will be driving the GT2 and GT4 at the historic circuit.

Last year was an incredibly successful one for the Milton Keynes racer.

Of nine rounds of the GT4 Championship, Jarman dominated and finished on the podium a spectacular eight times to seal the title in deserving fashion.

But now, all eyes are one 2014, and Andrew is looking to combine this special event in Japan with a season in the British GT Championship and entry into the Spa 24 Hours in July.

Held at the famous 2.7 mile Fuji Speedway, the unique Aston Martin Challenge event on March 16 will showcase the history of Aston Martin cars including a one off race for Aston Martin’s modern era GT2 and GT4 race cars, which Jarman is delighted to be taking part in.

Preparing for his first trip to the iconic Japanese circuit, Jarman will be spending time in the simulator to learn the circuit over the coming weeks.

He said: “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to take part in this unique and special event showcasing Aston Martin’s racing heritage.

“The Fuji Speedway is one of the world’s most iconic circuits and it’s going to be an amazing experience, especially driving the GT2 Aston Martin.

“I’ve been working hard on my preparation for this season and aiming to build on my success last year, there is still some work to do but I hope to be racing in the British GT Championship this year and return to Spa for the 24 Hours in July.”
