Joe Turney has shown that he is at the top of his game by wrapping up the 2013 Shenington iame cadet championship with two rounds to go.
In a dominant season, 12-year-old Fulbrook student Joe won the Winter Championship and became SuperPrix Champion earlier in the year and has topped it off with an unbeatable lead in the 2013 Championship.
Joe has been highly impressive this season and just last weekend won a shortened seven lap race over nine seconds clear of the chasing pack. His final race of this year will be next weekend at PFI in Grantham where he will be competing in the prestigious British Open championship.
Joe only entered one club championship in 2013 preferring to focus his attention on a rookie season in the British Championship series.
The Cranfield University of Motorsport Associate driver is now testing and getting prepared to fight for victory at every round of the 2014 British Championship.
Joe’s engineer and coach Martyn Smithers said: “Joe has been very strong, but not just at Shenington
“He went to Clay Pigeon in Dorset and put his kart on pole position against a championship field at his first visit, that is a measure of his talent.
“This year he has been up there with the top racers and next year, I am confident he will be recognised as one of the very best cadet drivers in the country.”
