Race ace Joe Turney is ranked fifth in the UK after a sensational performance at PFI in Grantham saw him dominate the final race of the season.
Having not secured a great qualifying position due to track positioning he had to battle hard through the heats to keep in touching distance of the leaders finally securing sixth on the grid for Final 1.
After a good start he suffered early grip issues seeing him slip back to ninth.
But when his grip came in he charged through the field taking the lead with four laps to go and never let it slip.
And with his confidence high going into the Grand Final, he proved untouchable as the lights went out.
He showed his class by controlling his race, taking his time to hit the front and then leading for the last five laps to take a double podium and round of the season in true style.
The fine finale saw Joe secure a top five finish in the Rotax Minimax series - something he’s incredibly proud of.
“It has been a tough but really enjoyable season.
“Results like this are down to massive effort from so many people and without MK based world champions KR Sport I couldn’t have done it.”
Joe’s plans for 2016 are still to be decided.
