Sebastian Vettel just needs to finish fifth in this Sunday’s Indian Grand Prix to secure his fourth consecutive F1 world championship.
Having won the last five races in a row, and nine in total in 2013, the 26-year-old Red Bull racer leads Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso by 90 points with 100 left to play for.
It means if Vettel finishes in fifth place or higher, at the Buddh International Circuit near New Delhi would wrap up the title with three races to spare.
Vettel has won both previous Indian Grand Prix and is heavy favourite to make it three in a row this weekend.
And Tilbrook-based Red Bull Racing need just 24 points to bring the constructors title back to Milton Keynes for a fourth time in as many years.
