MK Netters had a busy weekend, competing in two tournaments in as many days, and coming out of it with some silverware.
The club fielded two teams in Leighton Buzzard on Saturday - Ice and Hurricanes - as they competed against opposition a year older than they were.
Having fought their way to the semi finals, luck would draw them together.
Hurricanes took an early 2-0 lead, but Ice would stage a brilliant comeback to book themselves a spot in the tournament final.
Like in their semi, Ice trailed early in the final but staged another fight back to lift the tournament trophy.
But there was barely any time to celebrate as Ice went off to Hertfordshire to compete in the annual Crosskeys tournament in Harlow.
Pitched against some tough competition, the girls were unbeaten in their group sweeping aside some of the best Hertfordshire has to offer including Hornets, Crosskeys, Essex, Hillcrest Turnford Yellows and Poole.
With another tournament victory in their sights, Ice went into the final, against Turnford, full of confidence.
In the short, four minute aside game, Ice rushed into a 2-1 lead, but their opponents weren’t going to roll over.
And they fought back in style, winning the final and lifting the tournament trophy 5-2, as Ice had to settle for the runners-up place.
