The team took both first and second places in the under 18 men’s race, where each runner completed a lap of 2.3 miles. Their “A” team not only won but smashed the course record by some 9-minutes. The foursome of Robert Hickman (14.09), Montana Edghill (14.47), Leo Freeland (13.28) and Galen Butler (13.27) closed in with a time of 55.51.

Galen Butler overall was the fastest male on the day with his time of 13.27, just one second quicker than team-mate, Leo Freeland (13.28). For good measure Montana Edghill with her time of 14.47 was the fastest female overall.

There was a record 124 teams in the senior 4 x 3.5miles race. Many of the teams are ad hoc, with the winning team “Quads of Fury” comprising three MMKAC and one Northampton athlete. The latter, Josh Lay, ran 19.06 to give them a lead after leg one.
