Dons waiting to hear back after making bids for two players

MK Dons are still waiting on bids they've made for two players will be accepted.

Russell Martin has made no secret about hunting down a striker to replace Rhys Healey, and confirmed after Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Northampton he is still waiting on hearing back from two targets.

However, with the first game of the League One season on Saturday, Martin could not say whether either of his bids would be over the line in time for their trip to Doncaster Rovers.

"There has been some movement – we're just waiting," he said. "I really don't want to over-promise and under-deliver. We've put an offer out to two players. One was really substantial, we'll wait and see on that one, and another we've offered.

"I'm always hopeful, but what we've shown is that we're looking to add quality and depth. I'm immensely pleased with who we've got. They've all got a great attitude and belief in what we're doing.

"Of course we need to help the ones we've got, bringing in one or two to help us then we'll try and do it."
