More than 100 PBs set at Willen 5k

MMKAC records are broken at special event

MMKAC hosted the MK5km PB SPECIAL at Willen. To help keep social distancing runners ran in groups of ten every five minutes from 7pm.

A strong 253 finished with 144 (57 per cent) setting personal bests. Alice Ritchie was the MMKAC best performer, finishing a very close second in the “Women’s Elite Wave C” race, setting a PB of 17.28 and moved to fifth in the club all-time rankings.

From the 23 MMKAC runners Jamie Seddon was the quickest, a PB of 15.09, eighth best in the club all-time rankings.

Runners welcomed the event have been starved of competition for the last four months or so.
