NEVER mind top o' the morning...it was a whole Top Week for Pete Patton in Ireland's Fermanagh Feeder Fest.

Up against 117 of some of the best in a truly multi-national field he won his section four days out of six on Lough Erne, and on the Thursday, was second overall with 58kg of class silvers plus three good tench to 6lb.

The picture may look as though it was taken through the bottom of a whiskey glass...but Pete stayed sharp to the end and finished 11th overall – and they paid the top 12!

Back in MK he said: "For once I seemed to be on a roll and managed to stay on it. I had three tench and lost four, one about 3 kilo.

"Losing that one fish cost me around £1,000 in winnings because I would have moved up from 11th to fifth. But at least I had three tench: Michael Buchwalder has been going for 25 years and never had one."

YOUNG Charlie Cannon struck lucky, too, on Newport's Ouse where he had a beautiful barbel which must have been all of 10lb...but he will never know for sure as he'd forgotten his scales.

ARRIVING at Furzton...Danny Moore then drove back home to Wellingborough for the bite alarms he'd forgotten...and then back to Furzton to fish, which made him all the more pleased with a 25lb mirror 10 minutes from home time.

OLNEY's Ouse yielded a 7-4 bream for Matt Farr and a 15lb pike on lure to 'Greg'.

WOLVERTON Mill was on fire for Neil Charlwood as he had seven good carp (and lost six more) in a morning.
