The familiar sight of the green tops of Milton Keynes’ very own Redway Runners will soon be seen across the city following its announcement that it is preparing to recommence its club runs in the next few days.

A small group of members have been preparing to re-introduce its popular series of weekly runs whilst ensuring that it adheres strictly to the current social distancing guidelines and health and safety hygiene recommendations in place. Open only to 6 members per run and those not self-isolating, the usual socialising during the runs will need to be at a distance of at least 2 metres!

The Redway Runners have still been busy however by running in a different way – members have been treated to weekly quizzes, an online talent show, daily challenges, virtual running events, and last week, a litter pick.

The Club plans to re-start its popular Beginner Groups as soon as it is deemed safe to do so and has a number of planned runs later in the year to look forward to, including the ‘Old Money Run’ (5/10 miles pay in old money) and the festive ‘Santa Saunter’! (1 mile, fancy dress)

The Redway Runners is an award-winning community running club based in Milton Keynes, built on having fun and getting fit in a friendly environment that welcomes all abilities. For further details email [email protected]
