Throwers make a strong start to the season

Many of the MMKAC throwing event specialists opened their season in an open meeting at Stantonbury

Two of MK’s outstanding female throwers from last year made excellent starts to the 2020 season.

Ayesha Jones, second best in the UK F13 rankings last year move up an age group and threw the 500gm implement 38.29m. This is just 69cm off the club F15 record.

Lara Moffat, F17 hammer record holder threw the 3kg implement 54.58m, just over 2m off her record.

Hayley Diamond threw the F15 shot 10.69m to move up to fifth in the age group rankings and then 25.35m with the discus. Finally Jasmine Trapnell started her season off well with 41.85 in the F20 hammer.

For the men, James Ericsson-Nicholls threw the M20 hammer 52.00m and Bunt Scott (M65) threw 29.43m. Bunt sent the discus out to 32.89m.

Jack Panter was the best male javelin thrower on view with a distance of 50.24m
