In the latter half of 2015 he had the opportunity to finish his season with the final two rounds of the BTCC Ginetta GT4 Supercup where he impressed further at Silverstone in his maiden outing with a second place podium together with fastest lap and finishing in the top five of the remaining three rounds.

He said: “The British GT is where I have always wanted to be and I am very privileged to be part of it this year.”

Phillips is also no stranger to the track, having competed in the BRSCC Mazda MK5 series in 2013 then moving up to the Mini Coopers finishing 4th in the Championship in 2015.

He added: “I’m looking forward to a challenging season ahead, I have consistently had some very good finishes and wins throughout my race career and so going forward this year to compete in the British GT is fantastic.”
