Region success for MK Gymnastics

The trampolining team from Milton Keynes Gymnastics competed against the best in the southern region at the NDP Regional Team Qualifier in Alton and their talent stood out.

Emma Cooper and Grace Watson competing at Level 1, 9-10 faced stiff competition. Rising to the challenge, Emma took the top spot with two excellent routines. Grace was placed sixth in only her second competition.

Ellie Chapman, competing at Level 2, 9-10 was joint first after a high-scoring first routine. She narrowly missed out on gold and had to settle for silver.

Callum Hiett gave his best performance yet, gaining him first place at Level 5, 11-12. Natalie Cooper produced two solid routines, which earned her gold at Level 6, 11-12.

Emma, Ellie, Callum and Natalie have been selected to represent the Southern region at the Regional Team finals in Birmingham in May.

Coach Paul Wolfe said: “The team have been working very hard and have improved with every competition. We are working towards making a significant contribution Southern region team and qualification to the National Finals in July.”
