Bletchley Ladies had to come from behind to take victory against a spirited Old Leamingtonians side on Sunday, winning 38-21.
Barely a minute was on the clock before the visitors took the lead, but Bletchley were soon on the scoreboard themselves with Caroline Collie’s try reducing the arrears at 7-5.
OLs would score their second of the afternoon midway through the first half to extend their lead to 14-5, but Bletchley were awarded a penalty try just before the interval, and went in 14-12 down at the break.
And they hit the accelerator in the second half, running in four tries to secure the victory.
Collie added another to hand Bletchley the lead for the first time, with Rachael Taylor kicking the extras.
Becky Driscoll added another before OLs pulled it back to 24-21.
Collie then set up Taylor to score, before she added the extras with her boot, and then ran in her second try towards the end to complete the scoring.
