Bletchley ended 2015 on a dull note as they went down 22-11 to Reading Abbey.

Abbey’s fly half put in a faultless kicking display and they clearly have a few of their better players back for this season.

All the forwards put in a good afternoon’s work led by skipper Adam Fox and in the backs Kyle Gibbings and Glen White were excellent in midfield. Both got through lots of work in attack and defence. Also, sub Oli Whitmore came off the bench to good effect.

Bletchley’s points came from Tom Hannell registering from a rolling maul and Phil Harman hitting one penalty and a trade mark drop goal. However Bletchley gave away too many penalties on the day and that allowed Abbey to pull away in the second half.
