Bletchley Ladies completed a phenomenal 2015 with a 37-0 whitewash of Lutterworth at Manor Fields on Sunday.
With just one defeat in the calendar year, the ladies celebrated a league victory and promotion this year, and have taken to their new division with aplomb.
Their undefeated streak this season reads eight victories from eight as they sit atop the NC Midlands 1 table.
It took Bletchley just four minutes to get their noses ahead against bottom club Lutterworth as Emma Taylor scoring the first try.
Bletchley remained on the front foot but couldn’t find a way through the Lutterworth defence until late in the half, when two Caroline Collie tries and another from Emma Taylor made it 20-0 to the home side at half time.
Into the second half, Charlotte Gallop added another score before Collie completed her hat-trick to make it 30-0 to Bletchley.
Lutterworth weren’t rolling over though, and continued to defend strongly to prevent any more scores from the home side.
But Bletchley continued to exert pressure, pushing up, only to have Lutterworth take it again. Gallop took the catch and pushed up. Good handling took the ball to Collie, giving her her fourth try, and the final try of the match. Rachael Taylor managed to convert this one, giving a final score of 37-0.
Bletchley are now not in action until the new year, when they take on Chesham in a friendly on January 3.
