Junior rugby round-up
Bletchley U8s, sponsored by Aetna UK Ltd, welcomed rivals Milton Keynes at the weekend, winning one match 9-5 and drawing the second match 6-6.
Their tries from George Hendry (6), Thomas Sharp (3), Shea Minty (3) and Daniel Wells 3.
>> Bletchley U9s too entertained Milton Keynes, winning 10-0 and 25-10, their tries from Jonny Byatt (2), Harry Needham (2), Dale Thatcher, Marcus Bounds and Jamie Thubron.
>> Bletchley U11 Crusaders were 31-0 winners over Milton Keynes, the tries from Elliott Hales, Alex Easton, Cameron Watkins, Jake Hodges and Toby Fairclough.
Bletchley U11 Bulldogs, a development team featuring many new players, continued their impressive improvement and lost out narrowly 14-7 to City.
>> Bletchley U15s cruised to an emphatic 71-0 home win over Beaconsfield in the quarter-final of the Bucks Plate and the tries for the team sponsored by Yew Tree Farm B&B, Newton Longville, came from Gibbings, Stainsby (2), Petruck (2), Evans (3), Reilly, Bancroft and Levy with the conversions from Levy (5), Petruck (2), Gibbings.
>> Olney U7s were in action against Hemel Hempstead, Thomas Brooks (3), Joseph Brock (2) and Oliver Betteridge scoring the tries in a 6-3 win.
Game two resulted in a 5-4 win with tries from Oliver Shoreland (4) and Harvey Johnson, tries from Brooks (2), Brock (2), Danny Trott and Albert Lindley gave them a 6-5 win in the third game. They then won the fourth game 4-1 with tries from
Johnson (2) and Jack Jordan (2), winning the fifth game 5-4 with tries from Jordan (2), Tomos Mather, Joshua Kleczkowski and Brock.
>> Olney U14s beat Aylesbury 37-0 and now play Buckingham in the Bucks Plate final.
>> Milton Keynes U14s maintained their unbeaten run with a 34-5 win over Wellingborough with tries from Essad Al-Zubeidi, Orama Chiromo, George Clark, Kieran Duffin and Zachary Ezenagu (2) who also kicked two conversions.
>> In games played the previous week, Olney U7s faced ONs, the A side winning 4-0 with tries from Harry Thomas (3) and Albert Lindley and they then won 7-0 with tries from Thomas Brooks (3) Joseph Brock, Oliver Betteridge, Lindley and Teddy Kelleher, the side then winning 6-3 with tries from Brooks (2), Brock (3) and Betteridge.
The B side won 4-1 with tries from Harvey Johnson, Joshua Lyon, Oliver Shoreland and Joshua Wheeler, lost 5-1 with the try from Henry Smith and then won 4-2 with tries from Shoreland (2), Henry Levitt Powell and Jack Jordan.
Olney U8s too faced ONs, Olney Bandits winning 3-1 with tries from Oli Megeary, Joseph French and James Herman. They then won 6-2 with tries from Oliver Comer, Megeary, French (2), Louis Fielden and Archie Forber but then lost out 5-4, the tries here from Megeary, French (2), and Alex Demontes.
Olney Lions won 4-1 with tries from Lawrence Cook, Cerith Beynon (2) and George Roberts, lost 4-1 with the try from Ryan Jones and won 6-4 with the tries from Cook, Struan Brooks, Harvey Carroll, Roberts (2) and Ben Roworth.
Olney Sharks drew 3-3 with tries from James Thomason and Georgia Brock (2), lost 8-3 with their scores from Thomason, Pat Bulland, Romeo and lost 4-3 with all the tries from Georgia Brock.
Olney Pinks won 8-6 with their tries from Alex Demontes (2), Comer, Megeary (4) and Brock while Olney Greys lost out 7-3 with their scores from Archie Forber (2) and Roberts.
Olney U9 Warriors lost 6-2 to ONs with tries from Sam Smith and Simon Boyce and lost again 6-3, the tries from Cobie Chapman, Thomas
Murray and Izaak Soul.
Olney Bulls drew 3-3 with tries from Taylor French, James Minter and Tom Warn, they then won 2-1 with both tries from Francis Allen and then drew 1-1 with the try from French.
The U10s played in the MOBBs tournament at Brackley. The whole squad played magnificent rugby, scoring 20 tries while only conceding three.
The squad consisted of Hamish Bull, Sebastian Combes, Harvey Fielden, George Davies, Adam Grandy, Jamie Mitchell, Eliot Simpson, Harry Warn, Ben Duke, Dominic Kent, Tom Lay and Alden Price.
They beat Towcester 3-2 with tries from Bull, Warn and Price, beat Leighton Buzzard 6-0 with tries from Bull (2), Combes (2), Simpson and Mitchell, beat Brackley 6-1 with the scores from Combes, Mitchell (2), Simpson (2) and Price, beat Casuals 2-0 with the tries from Combes and Warn and then beat ONs 2-0 with both tries from Combes. This means they now play Luton at Bedford's ground in the final.
Olney U13s moved through to the final of the Bucks Plate with a 38-10 win over Aylesbury.
