It was always going to be an uphill struggle when the undefeated league leaders faced the team at the bottom of the pile, without a win all season - and so it proved as Bletchley were thumped 74-0 by Chippenham.
The home side were on the board after just five minutes when Aminiasi Titoko crashed through to make it 5-0.
Alex Cox added a second, though the conversions were going awry, but Chippenham had a 10-0 advantage.
Bletchley desperately tried to get a foothold in the game, but were unable to break through the stubborn Chippenham defence.
Further scores from Luke Corbett, and Aaron Ascott made it 22-0 midway through the first half, securing the bonus point for the home side.
Ryan Surry, James Owen and Dom Riccio completed the first half scoring as Chippenham took a 41-0 lead into the break.
After the break, Bletchley decided the best option was to keep it within the forwards and they made some ground but only played into the hands of the Chippenham defence.
But the tries just kept on coming from the home side, and with kicker Sam Saunders finding his range, the points quickly totted up.
Andy Rossiter, Bobby Lyons, Stephen Barber, Lewis Surry and a second from Titoko completed the rout as Bletchley were sent home with their tails between their legs.
The South West 1 East league table doesn’t make for good viewing for Bletchley, but with Devizes and Buckingham also struggling, there’s still a chance the team from Manor Fields could yet avoid relegation in their first season at this level.
