Secklow Trojans kick started their winter series with a fine sixth place at Henley-on-Thames.

After making a great start from fifth, they were quickly on Hurricanes, moving steadily through the water.

At the turn at Temple Island, they were caught and passed by the fast-paddling Henley team, but Secklow didn’t lose touch and kept them close.

Rafters were the next ones past as they went through Henley Bridge for the second time.

And at the final corner, Wraysbury snuck through on the inside, but with a time of 35:41, Secklow celebrated an excellent sixth place finish, improving on their seventh last season.
