Sensai ‘proud’ of his students after great show at Woughton

Milton Keynes English Contact Karate Association held an open kickboxing competition at Woughton Campus at the end of September which attracted competitors from all over the country.

There were categories for children and adults catering for points and continuous fighting on mats and a free form category.

With over 150 competitors from beginner to black belt competing, the MK club achieved some great results.

In the childrens categories Ronnie Featherstone was in winning form in the free form category.

Ellie Smith took bronze in the points, Charlotte 
Percival silver in points and Lauren Quantrill bronze in points.

In the adults Barrie Pemberton was champion in continuous-80kg, Ryan Crichton the champion in continuous-70kg and James Quantrill took silver in continuous-75kg.

Sensai Mark Featherstone said: “I’m very proud to see the progression of my students and look forward to the next competition in November.”
