Newport Pagnell Tennis Club have seen a huge number of new members signing up ahead of the summer.

Last year, membership grew for the second year in a row, courtesy of some great family orientated events, competitions and volunteer time, as well as the success of Andy Murray.

And with more of the same planned and organised for the forthcoming season, NPTC expect another busy summer.

Match sectrary Marie Walters said: “NPTC is a great example of growing new shoots from grass roots through developing a strong coaching programme and offering a wide range of benefits and events for members including regular junior and adult clubnights.

“The junior clubnights and adult Sunday club mornings with bright winter sun, hot butties and a bit of tennis, combine the social side and are a welcome sight for any club.

“It’s also great to see young and old looking to improve their tennis skills through well attended and expanded coaching sessions.

“All levels and ages are catered for and Newport Pagnell Tennis Club have always taken pride in truly offering tennis for all.”

And they are hosting an open day to encourage more people to visit the club and get involved in tennis.

On Sunday March 29, players of all ages and abilities are invited to the club from 10am -12.30pm.
