Shanghai podium for '˜madman' Kvyat
Team mate Daniel Ricciardo, who led the race until a puncture dropped him down the field, finished fourth in Shanghai - his third fourth place finish in a row this season.
Russian Kvyat made a sensational start from sixth on the grid to be third by the second corner - a start prompting Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel the describe the Red Bull racer as a ‘madman’ over team radio - while Ricciardo leapfrogged pole position man Nico Rosberg to lead the first stint.

But a tyre blow out on the back straight forced Ricciardo in for a premature pit-stop, demoting him down the order and bringing out the safety car.
With Kvyat running second behind Rosberg and the field sorting itself out behind, the Russian was eventually caught and passed by Vettel after the final round of pit-stops, demoting him to third.
Ricciardo’s charge through the field saw him stop later for new tyres than his rivals, allowing him to cruise past Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa to get back to fourth place.
The result means Ricciardo is third in the championships standings, while Kvyat’s second podium moves him up to seventh in the order.
