Stony Stratford conquer croquet league
Stony Stratford Croquet Club won the East Anglian Croquet Federation's Handicap League after an extra time win over Letchworth.
Having won the Western Area League against teams from Watford, Leighton Buzzard, Wrest Park and Northampton, they went on to beat Ipswich in the semi-final to get to the final for the first time since 2010.
But after a 9-9 draw at the end of normal time, Stony came out on top to get their hands on the trophy.
The victorious team (pictured right) was made up of Marian Holland, Jackie Berry, Liz Bulbeck and Robert Chipperfield.
