Andrew Baggaley, England’s most decorated Commonwealth Game athlete, added a sixth medal to his collection with silver in the table tennis.
The 31-year-old from Milton Keynes played in the gold medal match against a tough Singapore side as England lost 3-1.
Baggaley came to the table in the third match for the doubles match alongside team-mate Rob Drinkhall.
Between them, they fought brilliantly to put England’s only point on the board.
However, Baggaley was then pitted against Singapore’s top player Jian Zhan in the fourth game.
And despite his best efforts, Baggaley lost the game 3-1, handing gold to Singapore, meaning England had to settle for the silver medal.
