MK Monarchs have taken over at the top of the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League Premier Division courtesy of their second consecutive 10-0 win.
Confidently dispatching MK Powers thanks to maxiumums from Dan Appanna, Dan Smalley and Martin Hall, Monarchs capitalised on reigning champions MK Spinners dropping four sets against MK Sasaki. It means Monarchs lead the Premier Division by two points.
Meanwhile MK Kingpins beat Greenleys Kings 9-1 with only Henry Arthur stopping the rot with a win over Dave Allison. Mark Purcell & Julian Adams took maximums. Kings are badly missing their star player Joe Lindsay, out with a shoulder injury, as they have only picked up 6 points in 4 matches and now look to be isolated in 6th place for the rest of the season.
Finally Walking Wounded trounced MK Phoenix 10-0 with maximums from Dave Murphy, Peter Bannister and Neil Riddy, the closest set being an 11- 9 in the fifth cliffhanger between Neil and Gerald Ridgway.
