Tackle Hub Platinum win in MKAA summer league

Baking sunshine and wind-driven breakers rolling over competitors' feet put Furzton in rock-hard mood for Sunday's MKAA summer league round.

But that didn’t stop Tackle Hub Platinum claiming two of three top individual spots, and shading Maver MK in the team-stakes following a count-back on weight.

Platinum’s Steve Wroe won with 42-8 – mainly bream – with stablemate Ray Baker third on 39-12 and Maver MK’s Pete Patton second on 42-1.

With one round to go that leaves ‘Hub Silver out front on 29 points, ahead of Platinum on 38, Maver 40, ‘Hub Gold 43, Royal Oak 48, and GoneFishin 54.

IF Furzton was rock-hard, Wraysbury was worse. Only FOUR fish were caught in a three-day World Carp Classic Qualifier.

And Josh Budd – one half of a Waters Edge Tackle (Linford) team – had two of them to win with 36lb... after the other half of the team, Lee Bunton, had to pull out. Now Josh has a place in next month’s Czech Republic final. Good luck the lad.

ROACH are feeding on Bradwell – one man had over 60 redfins to 1-8!
