HARRY Burr's Linford 38-8

Sunday's Tear Drops-Lodge final episode saw all top-four weights come from the 'Drops – led by Ernie Sattler ('Hub) with 26-10 of carp and bream as he completed a near-perfect run to the series individual crown with 27 points from a possible 28.

Tipp Topp's Boys' Alan Ford had 23-12 with MK Black's Pete Patton on 22-5 and MK Green's Ian Pretty 16-10.

MK Green won on the day with 'Hub and Royal Oak joint second on points but Oak going third on weight.

PHIL Mapp's 14lb Ouse-barbel PB magic!

LEAGUE: 'Hub 82, MK White 79, Black Horse 74, MK Green and Royal Oak both 60, MK Black 51, Tipp Topp's Boys 41.

Rob Dzialak and Paul Abbott tied on points for the series individual runners-up spot – with 'Dizzy' clinching it on weight.

OUSEMEISTER Phil Mapp had his birthday a couple of weeks early when he caught not one, but TWO big Ouse barbel in 24 hours!

His guess that a cloudy afternoon might make the remaining rocking horse-dropping rare biggies less wary proved bang-on as he landed a near-double near Newport – cause in itself for celebration.

But next morning he was back on the bank early...capturing a new PB at 14lb – which understandably made him "a very happy man".

ON his first Linford syndicate lakes trip, as guest of Brown's Mike Turney, Harry Burr had a 38-8 mirror off the top.

LODGE night-syndicate's charity match raised over £300 for Harry's Rainbow as 25 carp were banked. Mark Crompton won with 83-6, Russ Long had 53-7 and Wayne Lebeau 52-6 with Brodie long getting the biggest at 21lb.

LAWRENCE Wright netted a Tear Drops 25 while Dean Casper and a pal both had Caldecotte 20s. A number of 20s have been caught at Willen where Chris Strong lost a real lump.

Charlie Reynolds and Charlie Dureall both had 21lb Big Pit PBs, and former MK Angling Centre proprietor Brian Haynes has been among those getting slabs to 8lb at Bradwell.

Pete Lima had a 3-2-4 Olney Ouse perch on worm.

TOWCESTER Vets, Newnham: John Broughton 39-8, Les Goodridge 25-2, Graham Martin 21-8.

MK Vets, Brackley Lake: Austin Maddock 33-13, Paul Chapman 20lb, Paul Swain 16-1.

CALVERT, Woodfields, Preston Bissert: Ben Holdaway 16-7, Tony Richardson 5-11, Dave Lewis 4-4.

OLNEY juniors, Ouse: Pippa Brown 2-14, Isla Brown 0-15.
