Milton Keynes Tennis Club has recently seen many new and exciting changes in the past year and with that some brilliant achievements attained along the way.

With an array of fresh faces now involved in the committee and some changes to the coaching team we have seen some brilliant successes in many areas.

Since Dominic-Ross Hurst was appointed as head coach back in April 2014 the team have worked tirelessly to improve and increase the numbers on the coaching programme.

When Dominic arrived, the numbers on the programme amounted to a mere 35-45 people.

But by the end of the winter term the programme had more than tripled with 141 people booked on to either junior or adult coaching sessions.

As well as the success of the coaching programme and team, MKTC have also had great success with the Men’s A Team who managed to win the Bucks Premier League for the third time in four years.

In the Aegon Team Tennis MKTC gained promotion from the county league to the regional league two seasons ago and now continued that success by finishing mid table in the regional league and securing themselves in the Regional League for the coming season.

MKTC have six all-weather floodlit courts, astroturf and hard courts.

Everyone will be welcome at the upcoming open days on Wednesday April 8 at 7pm–10pm for adults and Sunday April 19 at 10am–3pm for all, where you will be able to try out tennis for free. All abilities welcomed.

There is also a mini tennis event for children being held on Saturday April 18, from 10am-12pm, places need to be booked for this. Email or telephone 07583 023549, or visit
