Woodgate cruises to Tour of MK victory

Dan won all six races - the Tattenhoe 11km, the Potterspury cross country, the track mile, the Campbell Park “5”,the Bricckhill Woods hill race and finally the Willen “6”. With a total time of 141 mins he finished 11 mins ahead of second placed Mark Palser, with 73 competitors reaching the finish line.

Mark Palser finished second in each race to take the second male trophy ahead of Will Shippin. Overall Dermot Martin was first veteran man and Jessica Anstee was awarded the first veteran lady award.

Dan also won the MMKAC trophy whilst the leading veterans were Tom Inchley first M40, Chris Finister first M45, Martin Brent first M50, Andy Stiles first M55 and Dave Findel Hawkins first M65. Dave also won the most improved male award, six minutes better than last year.

Ella Townsend was comfortably the first lady with Lilli Stickley second and Di Baldwin third. Lilli was the first MMKAC lady, and Karen Bugai took the ladies “Most Improved” trophy, bettering her time by 36 mins.
