As you might suspect, this won’t be a show by a tin of Heinz’ finest, smothered in tomato sauce, but rather a gig by the Brit folk ace.

During 10 years of brisk activity, he has gone from underground player to festival favourite.

And he certainly gets around, does this fella – last year he played on rooftops in Cape Town, tropical islands in Barbados and at folk festivals in Canada.

Then he rounded off the year on a six-week long Stateside tour with Frank Turner, followed by a slew of headline UK dates.

His most recent album hit the racks last year too, his seventh issued in as many years.

As his press bumf confirms, ‘Beans on Toast made the album he wanted to make; no rules, no one to impress, just simple opinionated songs about honest subjects.’

As you’ll hear if you check in with him at the Kiln Farm haunt.

This show is part of the Small Town Celebrations tour, taking BOT away from the beaten track, ‘on an adventure into the heart of England.’

Those are his words.

While here, he’ll be celebrating MK’s identity – perhaps by visiting our cultural hot spots (and we’ve got a few) and the footage will inspire the next album, slated for a December release, his adventures in the Keynes will be used in a special documentary, to be screened at Glastonbury this summer.

Join the Essex-boy for a little play time, after 8pm.
